Business matchmaking · MITechCon 2026
Good things start with a conversation.
Hallway conversations help us discover what other companies are working on and learn from their experience. MITechCon, Oakland County, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) are arranging introductions to help Oakland County companies make those connections across industries.

Who can participate
Matchmaking is for Oakland County Tech Collaboration (OCTC) members with a business presence in the county. An office or headquarters here is not required. You can also use the form below to ask about joining OCTC.
Learn about the Tech Collaboration →02 · For buyers
What buyers should share
Tell us what your organization needs—a supplier, a technology solution, or someone with relevant experience. MEDC uses that context to find companies you could learn from or work with.
- Describe the need. Confirmed buyers receive a brief Connect Space intake form to outline what they're looking for.
- Review potential matches. MEDC recruits Michigan companies around those needs and recommends matches for your review.
- Meet at MITechCon. Once matches are confirmed, MEDC schedules up to four 15-minute meetings through Connect Space.
03 · For suppliers
What suppliers should share
Tell us what your company does and the problems you help solve. MEDC compares that experience with buyer needs and arranges meetings where there's a fit.
You can express interest as a buyer, a supplier, or both.
